Terms of service
- Mahkit Hire helps people in Belize find each other for local jobs. We are not the employer and we don't do the work.
- It's free. One profile per person, with your real name and number.
- Be honest, be respectful, and only offer work you can really do.
- Agree the price and details with the other person. We don't take payments.
1. Who we are
Mahkit Hire (hire.mahkit.bz) is run by OnTap Solutions, a business in Belize, as part of the Mahkit family of sites. "We" and "us" mean OnTap Solutions. "You" means anyone who uses Mahkit Hire.
OnTap Solutions is a business name registered with the Belize Companies and Corporate Affairs Registry (certificate no. 34015). Based in Belmopan, Cayo District, Belize. Email: support@ontapsolutions.bz.
By creating a profile or using the site you agree to these terms, our privacy policy and our disclaimer.
2. What Mahkit Hire does
Mahkit Hire is a directory. It lets people find workers near them, see what has been checked about them, send the details of a job, and book a time when the worker allows it.
We are not an employer, agency or contractor. Workers are independent. We do not supervise the work, set prices, take payments or guarantee that a job will happen or be done well.
3. Your profile
- Each person may have one profile. You use it both to hire people and, if you want, to offer your own skills.
- Use your real name and a phone number that is yours. Keep your details up to date.
- You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to you using Mahkit Hire.
- Keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what happens on your profile.
4. Offering your skills
- You can list up to 5 skills. You will only appear in search after you add a photo, your location and at least one reference, and after our team has checked them.
- Only list skills you can really do. "Years of experience" is shown as stated by you.
- Badges must be earned. "ID verified" and "Certified" are only added after we check your ID or certificate. Never claim a certificate you don't have.
- Only give a reference if that person agreed to be contacted by us.
- Some skills, such as childcare, have extra requirements, like a checked ID.
- If you turn on booking, keep your times up to date and answer requests. If you can't make a booking, tell the customer as early as possible.
5. Contacting and booking
- When you contact a worker, your name, town, rough distance and job details are sent to them. Only send real requests.
- Phone numbers stay hidden on the site. For a booking, numbers are shared after the worker accepts. Use the other person's number only for that job.
- Price, payment, materials and timing are agreed directly between you and the worker. Get it clear before the work starts.
- After a job, "Job done" and "Confirm job" must be true. Confirming jobs that didn't happen, or confirming your own, is not allowed.
6. Photos, videos and links
You can add your profile photo and links to your own public posts on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube. You keep ownership of everything you add. You allow us to show it on Mahkit Hire and in links that promote your profile.
Only add photos and posts that you took or have permission to use, that show your own work, and that do not show other people (especially children) without their permission. Linked posts are shown from the original platform: if you delete or hide them there, they disappear here too.
7. House rules
Do not use Mahkit Hire to:
- Offer anything illegal, unsafe or adult in nature
- Harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone
- Post false information, fake profiles or fake jobs
- Send spam, advertising or chain messages
- Ask for money up front in a misleading way
- Collect other users' numbers for other purposes
- Copy the site or its listings with bots
- Get around a removal or a ban

8. Fees
The Basic plan is free for everyone. We may add paid plans with extra features (for example SMS reminders) later. Anything paid will be optional, and we will tell you the price before you choose it. We will never charge you without your clear agreement.
9. Removing profiles
You can delete your profile at any time from Settings, or by contacting us.
We may refuse a listing, hide a profile, remove a badge or close a profile if these terms are broken, if a report needs checking, or to keep people safe. Where it is safe to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
10. Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Mahkit Hire accurate and safe, but we can't promise that every profile, review or job will be as described. Checks such as "ID verified" mean we saw a document at that time. They are not a guarantee about a person.
As far as the law allows, OnTap Solutions is not responsible for the work done, payments between users, damage, injury or loss resulting from arrangements made between users, or for posts shown from other platforms. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Belize law that can't be limited.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Belize. If something goes wrong, please contact us first and we will try to sort it out. Disputes that can't be settled go to the courts of Belize.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as Mahkit Hire grows. We will show the date at the top, and tell you in the app about important changes before they apply.
